Cases of word usage

1) a person who is absent. e.g. who lives away from her or his property (absentee)

2) a part of a sentence that is not the subject or predicate (and can be omitted without making the sentence ungrammatical) such as 'with the red hair' in 'The boy with the red hair fell off his bike' (adjunct)

3) also called; a name which a person, especially a criminal, used to hide her or his own (alias)

4) an official representing the government of her or his country in a foreign country (ambassador)

5) one of the twelve men chosen by Jesus to spread his teaching (apostle)

6) a skilled workman in an industry or trade, using her or his hands (artisan)

7) a sum of money kept by a low court so that a person can be out of prison until her or his trial (bail)

8) a man on his wedding-day, a newly married man (bridegroom)

9) a person who uses her or his strength or power to frighten or hurt others (bully)

10) (of a person) using deceit or trickery to her or his advantage (calculating)
