1) written works (especially essays, poetry) valued because of the style or artistic quality and not the factual contents (belleslettres)

2) an unpleasant (usually a harsh) sound or vibration; (the contents of) a container made of glass, stone etc with a wide mouth (jar)

3) bags etc and their contents (to be) taken on a journey (luggage)

4) the flesh of animals used as food; useful or suitable contents (meat)

5) to cook (an egg) by cracking the shell and dropping the contents into boiling water; (to go on private land and) take (animals, fish etc) illegally (poach)
