3) (especially) the mental state of feeling or being different from other people, without friends (alienation)

5) (of two kinds of things) first one and then the other (alternate)

6) of two or more things that may be used, chosen etc in place of the other or others (alternative)

7) to make (something) known (to other people) (announce)

8) not willing to be with other people (antisocial)

9) a part of the edge of a circle or other curved line (arc)

10) to exchange (goods, property etc) (for other goods etc) (barter)
