1) a fastener with one or more spikes made to go through a hole in a belt etc (buckle)

2) to tie or fasten a person, animal, hay etc; a bundle of hay, straw; a framework supporting a roof, bridge etc; a padded belt worn by a person suffering from hernia (truss)

3) a close-fitting jacket as worn by policemen, soldiers etc; a loose, pleated dress gathered at the waist with a belt (tunic)
