3) the noise made when clearing the throat or to get a person's attention (ahem)

4) a celebration on a day when something happened on the same date a year, or many years, before (anniversary)

5) a small animal of South America with a shell of bony plates, able to roll itself into a ball when attacked (armadillo)

6) a long, curved, thick-skinned (yellow when ripe) tropical fruit (banana)

7) a business for keeping money which is paid out when its customers write checks (bank)

8) a person whose parents are not married when he or she is born (bastard)

9) a metal object shaped like a cup that makes a ringing sound when hit (bell)

10) a person who receives money, property etc especially from a person when he or she dies (beneficiary)
