Cases of word usage

1) a part of a sentence that is not the subject or predicate (and can be omitted without making the sentence ungrammatical) such as 'with the red hair' in 'The boy with the red hair fell off his bike' (adjunct)

8) (of a way of speaking or writing) wandering from one point or subject to another (discursive)

9) a book or set of books giving information about every branch of knowledge or about one subject (encyclopedia)

10) a thorough teaching of the basic details of a subject (grounding)
