Cases of word usage

1) the study of ancient things, especially the buried remains of prehistoric times (archaeology)

2) the substance that remains when gas is being taken out of coal, used as a fuel (coke)

4) the property of matter by which it remains in a state of rest or, if it is in motion, continues in the same direction and in a straight line unless it is acted on by an external force (inertia)

6) an amount (of money, goods etc) that remains after needs have been supplied (surplus)
