2) (in the habit of) wasting money etc; (of ideas, speech, behaviour) going beyond what is reasonable; not properly controlled (extravagant)

3) to examine (details) carefully; to visit (a school, office etc) to see if the organization is running well and work is done properly (inspect)

4) (of a person) unable to adapt properly to society (maladjusted)

5) to organize, decide etc (something) without understanding or thinking about the facts properly (misconceive)

6) to mark (shoes etc) by walking without lifting the feet from the ground properly (scuff)
