Cases of word usage

1) a short post used to tie up a ship or on a road for directing traffic (bollard)

3) something that marks or indicates something, e.g. a flag or post on a playing field (marker)

4) the careful way in which things are placed in relation to one another; a request to supply goods; a written instruction (especially to a bank or post office) to pay money, or giving authority (order)

5) something or things wrapped and tied up for carrying, sending by post etc (parcel)

6) to speak favourably of (a person, thing); say that one thinks (something) is good (for a purpose) or that (a person) is suitable (for a post etc) (recommend)

7) a pointed length of wood or metal (to be) hit into the ground as a post (for a fence) or as a support (for something, e.g. plants, young trees); a sum of money risked when gambling (stake)
