Cases of word usage

1) to give permission to (a person) (to do something) (allow)

2) to stay away from school, work etc without permission (bunk)

3) (of a person) showing spirit, enthusiasm and ambition; to give a person / get permission to begin an activity such as starting a business, building a house etc (go-ahead)

4) permission (the usual word); to go away from (a person, place etc) (leave)
