Cases of word usage

1) a map used by sailors, showing the coasts, depth of the sea, position of rocks, lighthouses etc (chart)

2) a line on a map joining places with the same atmospheric pressure at a particular time (isobar)

3) a picture, map etc on cardboard or wood and cut in shaped pieces which are to be fitted together again (jigsaw)

4) a distance east or west (measured in degrees) from a particular point (called a meridian) on a map (longitude)

5) a stick etc used to point to things on a map etc; an indicator on a dial or balance (pointer)

6) a mental or written report or review; a detailed inspection; a detailed map (of an area); to examine the general condition (of something) (survey)
