Cases of word usage

1) any number of the ten Arabic numerals 0 to 9; a finger or toe (digit)

2) the finger next to the thumb (forefinger)

7) (of a person, finger etc) short and fat (podgy)

8) to push (a person, thing) sharply using a stick, one's finger etc (poke)

9) the distance between the tips of a person's thumb and little finger when stretched out; the distance or pat between the supports of an arch or bridge; a length in time, from beginning to end (span)

10) the short, thick finger set apart from the other four; to turn over pages etc (thumb)
