1) to climb with difficulty using the hands and feet (clamber)

2) two lengths of wood, metal or rope, with crosspieces (called rungs), used to climb up and down (ladder)

3) a walk, motorbike competition etc; an eager and rough struggle; to climb (with difficulty) or crawl (over steep or rough ground) (scramble)

4) the front part of the leg below the knee; to climb up something (using arms and legs to grip) (shin)
