Cases of word usage

1) the omission of one or more words in a sentence, as in 'a table and chair (for . . . a chair)' (ellipsis)

2) one of the parts on which an animal or human being stands, walks etc; one of the parts that support a table, chair etc (leg)

3) the ceremonial chair of a king, queen, bishop etc; royal rank or authority (throne)
