1) the use of (especially) a pronoun to avoid repetition of a noun or phrase e.g. 'it' in 'I found a cheap camera and I bought it' (anaphora)

2) a place where food and drink may be bought and eaten, e.g. in a train station (buffet)

3) a place (especially in factories, offices) where food and drink are sold and meals bought and eaten (canteen)

4) something fixed in place, especially (pl) built-in cupboards etc which are bought with a building (fixture)

5) (to be) bought in a supermarket etc (groceries)

6) goods bought and sold (merchandise)

7) the act of buying; something bought (especially something large and expensive such as a house or car) (purchase)

8) a place where meals can be bought and eaten (restaurant)

9) something taken, bought or received as a gift, and kept as a reminder of a person, place or event (souvenir)
